Commemorating the 30th anniversary of Disco and of
the band ABBA, the spectacle ABBA GOLD gives the public
the chance to reexperience a concert of that legendary
group, to listen again to their greatest hits, interpreted
by singers, dancers and musicians who are presenting
a really authentical spectacle. The production is
made faithfully to that what ABBA was standing for,
that includes the music, the stage setting, the choreography,
the light show and the costumes. The spectacle ABBA
GOLD is currently being showed in more than twelve
European countries.
Spotlight:
ABBA – the original
Started in 1968, the group had four members: Björn,
Benny, Agatha and Anni-Fri, at that time two couples.
In 1974, ABBA got its breakthrough, when the four
musicians won the Eurovision contest with their song
“Waterloo”. Thenceforward they had one
number one hit after another: 1975: “SOS”,
1976: “Fernando”, 1978: “Take a
chance on me”, 1980: “Super Trouper”
until the band’s breakup in 1982. Until the
year 2000, ABBA sold more than 360 million albums,
that means the band is the third most succesful music
band in the history of pop music, only beaten by the
Beatles and Elvis Presley.
